I was more than 2,300 miles away from home and in this area around the weekend. The church was very welcoming and supportive of my situation. When I brought it up with one of the pastors, he was quick to bring me to some members who were very cheerful and supportive and understanding in listening to me and finding solutions for me and ways to help me out. The church has a feeding program for the homeless every Saturday morning at 8:30 or so. They also offer donated clothes for free to cloth them and I think that that's awesome. I found them when I looked online for nearby churches. I felt comforted and at home worshipping with such a kind and inclusive community. It's nice to know I can always rely on brothers and sisters in another city to trust and be welcomed. It felt like a little piece of home.
