  • Wonderful place and people. Right Michael Moore, This is not a "Synagogue". It is a "Messianic Synagogue"(M.S.). It is probably one of the most accepting M.S. of Gentile believers you could visit.

Yes they believe in Jeshua. And the New Testament scriptures, not as a new religion, but as The Goal of the Torah and Prophets.

  • I have been attending Restoration for a year now and have enjoyed each and every week I have attended. I also feel that in my life the stated mission of this Messianic Synagogue, "To lead people to become fully devoted followers of Yeshua", is delightfully being achieved and I very much Thank God for that!

The people here really nice no doubt about that. I went during the Godfather series which is supposed to be about Abraham but I think the Bible verse was read twice and the rest was paraphrased with modern humor. The speaker mostly just talked about his life rather than Abraham's which was a bit boring as I came to learn about the Bible not the speaker's life.
It's an interesting place for sure. If you keep Sabbath as commanded by the lord then please beware there is a business operating here during Sabbath. A coffee shop called Bridge (yes the coffee shop is in the church). The church gives you vouchers for first time visitor but the coffee shop still takes cash with prices listed.
Also they considered no currency exchange on the Sabbath as the oral law and not written as in scripture. They also believe that we’re not all call to obey Torah just the Jews. There is an heavy emphasis on Jews and gentiles. Where are the other 11 tribes at? They pretty much want you to pick if you’re a Jew or gentile.
I had email exchanges with Laurie and she told me that some of people from the worship band don’t believe Yeshuah is the messiah. I found this a bit odd. Maybe they think the band member will come to know Yeshuah by allowing them to play music about him in the church? I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
Not sure of the logic on this one but it did sit a bit uneasy with me as I feel worshipers should at least be in agreement on whom they’re worshiping.
This place would appeal to someone coming from a mega church who wants a hip pastor. A person that is just looking for a familiar environment/mega church program. Basically a Hebrew roots version of The City Church.
I don’t recommend this place if this if you’re eager to learn about Torah. The place puts the modern day secular Israel nation on a pedestal.

  • Restoration is amazing! Rabbi Matt is an inspiration and a great teacher of the Living Word of God. Shabbat services are something to really look forward to every week and the congregation, as a whole, has such heart and so many gifts to share with all who come through their doors. This is a congregation and leadership that gives and can change your life!

  • If your heart must know the Messiah described in the Mikra- you will learn to walk with Yeshua at Restoration. This assembly is dedicated to building His kingdom, which requires material resources and eager hearts.
There are some odd criticisms posted on Google and they blatantly express the heart of the writer and not the culture of Restoration. Visit in person if you're able and enjoy the podcast. Shalom!
