  The Queen Anne Christian Church is right in my neighborhood, and though I don't go to the Sunday worship--and am not in fact a Christian per see, I have always felt welcome. It is a wonderful resource for the larger community. Among the things that makes it special is the occasional recitals of classical music held in the main worship hall. The last one, I recall, of Mozart's requiem, was graced by the presence of the Austrian consulate.
  
  Even with the doors of the church open on a summer evening, as a neighbor I have never been disturbed. This kind of respect is dearly appreciated.
  
  The older part of the church has a calming purple-blackish brick neo-Tudor facade, with lovely stained glass windows, that fits in very well with the neighborhood. I was thrilled to be able to attend a talk on the history of its architecture.
  
  I felt honored to make a small donation at one of the worship services.
